Curriculum
This fund helps provide students with specific technical skills that are learned hands-on with state-of-the-art training and equipment. The fund is intended to elevate the MSCI curriculum for all students involved. An example of its use includes the additional section of Marine Ecology added in 2021.
Travel
The travel fund helps support student and faculty attendance to conferences to present research and learn about opportunities in Marine Science that would otherwise not be able to attend. In 2022, this fund supported over 50 Cal Poly students to attend the 103rd Annual Meeting of the Western Society of Naturalists and many of them presented their research!
